Jarred runs the shop and the bench. Everything here is custom and built for the space it is going into, so he stays in the details from the first conversation through design, fabrication, finishing and install.

The Golden Woodshop is a small, hands-on woodworking shop in Indianapolis, built around one simple idea: make things that are worth keeping.
We’re a small team, and we like it that way. It means we know every project that comes through our doors, we’re involved in the details, and the people you meet at the beginning of a project are the same people building it in the shop.

Everything we make is custom. We don’t work from a catalog or pull finished pieces off a shelf. Every cabinet, piece of furniture, built-in, and piece of architectural millwork is designed and built specifically for the space it’s going into and the people who will use it.
We work with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and builders to take an idea from the first conversation all the way through design, fabrication, finishing, and installation. Some projects are small and simple. Others take months and involve an entire interior. Regardless of the size, we approach each one with the same care.

Being a small shop allows us to slow down where it matters. We can obsess over a joint, change a detail, find the right piece of wood, or figure out a better way to build something. We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern tools, but the goal is always the same: make something beautiful, functional, and built to last.
We’re proud to be a small shop. There’s something special about knowing the hands that built the thing in your home. There’s no mass production, no assembly line, and no two projects exactly alike.
Just good materials, good people, and a lot of time spent making something from scratch.
Every piece is custom. Every project is personal.

Mixes and sprays every finish in-house, matching stains to the light in a room rather than to a chip on a card. The reason the grain reads the way it does.
Turns a kitchen measured on a Tuesday into the shop drawings the crew builds from on Wednesday. Keeps the tolerances honest so nothing is fudged at install.
Gets finished casework into a house without marking a door frame, and handles the scribing an old building always asks for.

Room, budget, timeline, a photo if you have one. We reply with an honest read and a clear next step.
